We’re delighted to share some wonderful news from our Star School programme!
Whitchurch Primary School has officially won the Star School Sponsorship for the 2025/2026 academic year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see their exciting plans.

This week, we had the pleasure of visiting Whitchurch Primary to present their sponsorship cheque in person. During our visit, the children and staff shared a truly lovely presentation they had put together for us and then gave us a tour of the school, showing us their exciting plans for the year ahead.

It was wonderful to see the proposed environment development plans and how thoughtfully the school has designed spaces that support both learning and wellbeing.

We’ll be revisiting Whitchurch Primary during the summer term to see how the sponsorship funding has been used and to watch these plans come to life. We can’t wait to see the positive impact this will have on the pupils.

We have recently had an exciting update from Whitchurch Primary to see the finished projects.
They now have some new guinea pigs who are thoroughly spoilt living in their very own palace. Alongside some furry friends Whitchurch have a dedicated pastoral space, full of soft furnishings, sensory toys, calming lights, and outdoor furniture creating a welcoming environment for the children.
For Forest School, there has been an investment in two large workbenches and timber to build their own benches along with a range of tools, hammocks, shelters, and other Forest School equipment to enhance the outdoor learning experience.
The garden area has also been transformed creating a brand-new bee garden at the top of our field, which the children are already enjoying. The school bees have even started making honey.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you for awarding us OES’s Star School status for 2025–2026. We were absolutely delighted to receive the £3,000 grant, which has enabled us to develop our Guinea Pig Palace, enhance our Forest School area, and create our outdoor pastoral provision. These improvements have already had such a positive impact on our pupils, and we’re incredibly grateful for your generosity and continued investment in our school community.
